The perfect day for a photoshoot

These are photos that I took for a photo-shoot themed “Jewelry Thief”. Acting as a creative team, my friends and I planned it all out and set up the shoot. My friend Sarah is our beautiful model.

This is a package redesign for Cocon Food Industries’ Mango and Strawberry Nata de Coco. The product is a fruit flavoured, Jello-like treat served in portioned containers. The target market is children ages 5-12 or mothers of school aged children. On-the-go portioned snacks are popular for this age bracket because is easy to pack in a backpack or lunch bag for school. The objective was to make the product appealing to children using bright colours and fun shapes. The goal was to make the product look fresh, juicy and flavourful. The main image on the package is a fruit in the shape of the jelly cup. This was done to show that the contents are as good and tasty as the fruit its self. The use of realistic fruit textures appeals to mothers because it gives the product a fresh, nutritious look. -erin

Her music is contemporary, fun and energetic. The objective was to design a unique, colourful album that represents the positive, artistic mood of Yelle’s music. A typographic approach was used for the cover of this album. Each letter was hand cut out of gelatin then assembled and photographed. Just like Jello, Yelle’s music is a “sweet treat”. -erin

I found out today that I won the RGD Hagon Design Award of Excellence for Western Ontario! I get to have my work profiled in Applied Arts Magazine. I’m pretty excited! Check out all the winners here. -erin
